Sofie opened SZ Performance Studio in 2016,
teaching weekly private lessons to kids ages 6-18 in voice, songwriting, acting, piano, and guitar. Within two years, her studio grew from 2 students to 30+ per week, with two amazing recitals each year and a close-knit community of passionate performers!
Sofie is a dedicated, enthusiastic coach who loves sharing her passion for the arts with kids! She develops deep relationships with each of her students: celebrating individuality, building confidence, and cultivating self-awareness, guiding them mindfully as they find their authentic voices as performers.
Her students are her favorite people in the whole world.

25 years of industry experience (child actor, so I get it!)
BFA Drama from NYU Tisch (with a minor in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies)
Acting credits include: Linny on Nick Jr.’s The Wonder Pets, Disney’s Enchanted, 12+ Kidz Bop albums, hundreds of TV/radio spots
10 years of teaching experience
Currently: Voice acting coach at Broadway Star Project (NYC)
4 years as Vocal Director at Elisabeth Morrow School (NJ), Guitar/Songwriting teacher at Belvoir Terrace Fine and Performing Arts Camp (MA)
